2018 Summer Camp Breakfast Arrangements

There are two main locations for accommodations at the university. The Hotel Alma and the Yamnuska Student Residence. Breakfast arrangements vary according to which accommodation you are in.

  1.  At Hotel Alma (Suite and Euro Style Room) the breakfast (box breakfast) is included with your room. Folks staying at the Hotel Alma will arrange breakfast with the Hotel which you will pick up at the Hotel front desk. The Box Breakfast is available at the Hotel front desk starting at 6:30 am until 10:00 am. There will be a box breakfast for all guests that are in either 1 Bedroom Suite or Euro Suite, not given to the Alma Two Bedroom Flats. Which breakfast one gets will be on a first come first taken. In other words, if you show up at 9:45 am there will be a box breakfast for you however it may not be the one you want.
  2. At Hotel Alma (Two Bedroom Flats) the breakfast isn’t included with your room. Therefore, seminar attendees must arrange for their own breakfast. In order to help the attendees staying at the Two Bedroom Flats, we’ve arranged the option to purchase a daily breakfast package. In order to provide a room for students to gather in the morning we’ve booked the Senate Room in the Hotel to serve the breakfast package from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Alternatively, attendees may use their own groceries or go to MacEwan Hall.
  3. At the Student Residence (Yamnuska) the breakfast isn’t included. Therefore, seminar attendees must arrange for their own breakfast. In order to help the attendees staying at the Student Residence at Yamnuska, we’ve arranged the option to purchase a daily breakfast package. In order to provide a room for students to gather in the morning we’ve booked the Senate Room in the Hotel to serve the breakfast package from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. Alternatively, attendees may use their own groceries or go to MacEwan Hall.

Attendees staying in the Hotel Alma Suites and Euro Style Rooms are welcome to come to the Senate Room to eat their box breakfasts.

We apologize that all these arrangements became necessary. It wasn’t until after we started our negotiations with the University that we found the Cafeteria and Hotel Alma Bistro were both scheduled for renovations.

The MacEwan Hall Student Centre has a Food Court. Some of the vendors are open in the morning and serve breakfasts. Many are also open to accommodate lunch requirements. Hours during the week and weekend vary but the Food Court may be an option for many Camp attendees.
