Canadian Aikido Federation

Seminars

The schedule and fees for the BCAF Kangeiko in Clearwater, BC, have been posted: details can be found at https://www.aikidaily.com/kangeiko-2023

Please be sure to check out the website and to circulate to all your dojo members. The schedule is jam-packed with something for everyone – beginners, yudansha, instructors, kids – and we anticipate some good times both on and off the mats.

Clearwater is located 90 min north of Kamloops in the BC Interior (Google says 3.5 hours from Kelowna, 5.25 hours from Vancouver, and 7.25 hours from Edmonton, but please remember that winter highways in the BC Interior demand good tires and slower travel times).

To simplify commutes from the Coastal Region, Aikidaily is providing the use of their two passenger vans, seating 15 and 11 people. One van will depart on Friday 19, and one will depart early morning on Saturday 20. Pick up locations can be arranged in Vancouver, near the ferry terminals, and along the Fraser Valley. Traveling together is fun, will allow you to talk about aikido for hours on end without receiving any complaints, and reduces emissions! It also makes your trip eligible for the BCAF Travel Bursary.

To save yourself a seat, book discounted accommodation at the Nakiska Guest Ranch, and register for the seminar,  go to the BCAF Kangeiko information page  (https://www.aikidaily.com/kangeiko-2023) and click on “Register” to open the Google form.

The closest airport is in Kamloops, BC, but flights to Kelowna are often more affordable and there might be car-pooling opportunities.

Hope to see you in February!
